Anna Silk was the first child born to Peter Silk (an academic) and Ilkay Silk (a actress, playwright director, producer, and professor of St. Thomas University). Anna was born in Fredericton, being the daughter of Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Her mother is a "English-Turkish Cypriot ex-pat" that is originally from Britain.
