Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She's co-founder and CEO of Thrive Global, as well as the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington has been a TV host, journalist as well as a philanthropist, author and journalist for more than 10 years. She also is the proprietor of The Huffington Post, an independently-liberal online newsmagazine. She was born in Greece and relocated to England when she was 16. At Cambridge University, she graduated with an MA of Economics. The infamous debating society The Cambridge Union was her first president and she took it at the age of 21. Then she became a conservative syndicated writer after her graduation. When The Huffington Post launched a few years following, she launched an online voice platform with a critique of current politics. Her fame helped to attract several prominent contributors to share their views on current events as well as politics and culture. Arianna rose to fame in 2003 when she decided to run independently for the California recall election to replace then Governor Davis. Arianna was also part of a Detroit-based project that promoted fuel-efficient automobiles. In 2009, she was ranked by Forbes as one of the top women in the media, achieving 12th place on the list and in the same year, the Guardian included her in the top 100 of media lists. AOL bought The Huffington Post from AOL in 2011. She was then made the president of AOL's media group. It included a number of AOL-owned brands, including Engadget AOL Style List and Patch Media. The parents of her were Elli and Konstantinos Stasinopoulos who was who was a consultant in management as well as a journalist. The way she lived her life was determined through her relationship with her mother, and the bond she shared with her dad, even though she was very close to the latter. Even in her formative age she showed the qualities of a leader and is a household name. at the age of 16 she moved back to United Kingdom to pursue her education and was enrolled at Girton College Cambridge. During her college days she joined the college debating Society Cambridge Union where she became the third foreign, and first female president. She graduated in 1972 with an advanced degree in Economics. She worked as a critic as well as a host on TV and a columnist after her graduation. In addition, along with Bernard Levin she appeared on an episode of Face the music.
