Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder is the professionally-known name given to Winona Laura Hoowitz. She was birthed in Winona Minnesota. Parents named her Winona after her home town. The father of her Michel Horowitz and her mother Cynthia Palmer were authors and editors. Ryder is Jewish. Ryder believes that her father was from a Jewish background. The actress has a younger brother Uria and half-siblings Jubal as well as Sunyata. When Ryder was just seven years old, her family moved into Mendocino County California. They didn't have electricity. Television books were the only way for Ryder to spend the time and she was a voracious reader. Ryder began to take acting classes at the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983 at the age of 12. In the year she turned 15years old, Ryder was offered her first part on the screen in Lucas. Ryder had to deal with bullying throughout her time in high school. Ryder was hopeful that her work as an actress would bring about change. Unfortunately, it didn't work out. The actress continued to chase her dreams. Her breakthrough came in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice in the year 1988. Ryder was later cast in success in roles. In 1993, Ryder was in the running two times for Academy Awards.
